Internal Glass Floors
Internal glass floors can now be designed and installed by Hedgehog Aluminium Systems to almost any size required. These internal glass floors are made with structural glazing and are commonly used to naturally light a dull space or basement from above.

Internal glass floors may be considered when light and vision is required to pass through two levels of a property. These are designed and created using horizontal panes of structural glass to create frameless glass floors. The structural glazing used allows these glass floors to be highly durable whilst allowing natural light ingress.
Hedgehog Aluminium Systems design these internal glass floors with all fixing and support details to suit each specific project. These glass floors can be installed as one pane or if larger panels are required then steel sections or glass beams can be integrated to provide additional support to any glass joints.

Choose Your Design
When installing an internal glass floor we will always recommend using low iron glass as it creates the structural support required for internal glass floors.
Anti-slip resistance can be applied to the glazing for safety including sandblasted glass. Sandblasted glass can be used to create a rougher external surface which is then finished translucent for ample light intake.
Alternative anti-slip resistance is available including specialised ceramic inks which can be applied to the glass surface in various or indented patterns.
