Where a controlled influx of light is wanted through a solid flat roof, a fixed roof light can be designed using the Sieger® Flat Rooflight system within almost any roof construction to allow this steady introduction of natural light into the space below.

These rooflights are installed with a frameless appearance and are greatly suited for contemporary rear extensions where roofs tend to be flat. These horizontal glass elements are generally mounted to a fixed up-stand on the external of the building.

The Sieger® Rooflight System offers a bespoke rooflight solution to complement our full range of aluminium windows and doors.

These fixed rooflights can help to create the illusion of an open space above with minimal sightlines both internally and externally. The aluminium rooflight sections have a unique thermal break to offer high levels of insulation and a minimisation of cold bridging.

Specialised performance coatings such as a Solar Control Coating can be introduced into the glass in order to help reduce the amount of solar radiation from travelling through the rooflights to reduce solar gain and overheating.

Unique Thermal Break Technology

The integration of a thermal break into rooflight sections is truly unique and makes the Sieger® Rooflight system the head of its class.

These aluminium sections have been specially designed by Sieger® to ensure no cold bridging occurs; a typical issue with traditional rooflight designs.

Thermal modelling simulations undertaken show very clearly the insulation advantages of thermal breaks within aluminium framing. The Uw value of each rooflight installation must be calculated individually to ensure we are offering the most accurate of insulation information.
